What People Say About Explore Orkney Holidays

USA

Greetings from the U.S. This is David and Tracey. You took us on a tour of the island (August 2008). We had such a great time and I took over 350 pictures just on the island. Thank you for such a wonderful experience that I know we would not have gotten otherwise.

I have attached 1 of the many awesome pictures that turned out. Thank you.

We are looking forward to coming back and sharing the island with the boys. This time we are looking at 2 weeks so we can see all the things we want and not be rushed.

I have made quite a bit of money selling some of the pictures I took while there. I have even had family members try to steal them off my walls. I have been asked if they were fake pictures!

The website is wonderfully done, congrats!! - you can add our comments. Regards and tell your wife next time we have to meet her too.

Aurora Borealis

Free Alert Service

The Northern Lights are unpredictable, occurring usually in the mid-winter months and more often than not late evening or after midnight. When the show is on, it is a spectacular sight. Explore Orkney offer their holiday customers a free Aurora Borealis Alert Service by text message. It is worth getting up for.

Puffins Nest 2008

Last summer, some lucky Explore Orkney holiday visitors experienced the joy of seeing a new puffin family on exposed sea-front rocks in South Ronaldsay.
